This has been an issue on everyone of the thousands of servers I hve run since at least server 2003. through every update and through every new server overhaul. It also has happened on the client side of every version of windows from xp through windows 11, pro versions, home version etc etc etc... Microsoft has yet to address the isue, because every experienced network engineer knows the work around.. So in thier laziness, they let it be..

The KB appears to describe the issue we are experiencing. I tried the hotfix but I received a message that the hotfix doesn't apply to this computer. The pc is a windows 7 pro 64-bit. Would you have any other suggestion?

This patcher version breaks the remote desktop by not letting me see anything that is currently open,program wise. I can see no UI windows for ANYTHING that is open. no browsers, nothing. Just desktop with my icons on it. =(

Downloaded this today and can confirm that it is still working on windows 7 professional. Double click to run and enabled multiple logins per user, clicked patch and it kicked me off while it replaced the file. Waited 2 minutes then hopped back in and tested multiple concurrent sessions.

This has been reliable for several years but just stopped working on a windows home premium machine. Anyone else having the same issue (perhaps the last windows update)? The connection neither connects nor errors out, appears to connect then nothing..

Is there a cost to enable remote desktop on about 100 desktops to log on to two servers with windows 2019 installed. I am told it costs about $140.00 per connection.Is this correct and if it that is true is there a no cost alternative.ThanksPete Sr
